Bigbeard's Hook by Evan Solomon

Bigbeard's Hook, written by Evan Solomon and illustrated by Bill Slavin, is the first book in a Nathaniel McDaniel and the Magic Attic series by this author.  While visiting his grandfather, Nathaniel McDaniel discovers his grandfather's magic attic and ends up in an adventure on a pirate ship.  The rhyming text and action filled pictures takes you on the crazy adventure with Nathaniel.

Anna was captivated by the story and the pictures.  We will definitely be looking for book number 2.
